TSDOL-Episode Five

"...and really bad.....eggs?" Jack stopped singing and looked around. Could it be? He was on the Pearl once again! But wait...this vessel, as magnificent as it was, was not his beloved Pearl. The Pearl smelled strongly of rum and lowlifes, and occasionally parrot droppings. This vessel, however, smelled of the sea and over sized rats. Jack was...thoroughly confused, and the rum in his head wasn't helping either.

"Caspian, who's that?"
"Haven't the foggiest, Lucy"
Lucy cocked her head, as if that would help her determine who the stranger was, "He looks drunk"
"Smells drunk, too", Susan coughed.
"That plus the bottle in his hand means he probably is drunk", Peter speculated. Edmund said nothing.

Sam looked behind him at the newbie. He looked oddly familiar. Jack? Jack Sparrow? Was it really? "Jack Sparrow!", Sam yelled. "Is that really you?" Jack turned around. "CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow. Can't you people get it right?" Sam smiled. Yep, it was him.

Jack heard someone calling his name, and vaguely recalled replying to them. He bumbled around the ship, looking for something to grab. Finding nothing, he fell and latched onto the nearest person.

"AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!" Caine shrieked. "GET HIM OFF!!!!" Lucy and Edmund rushed to help the drunk stranger off of the poor boy. Ed grabbed his shoulders and looked him in the face, "You reek" "Thank you", the man mumbled. Ed sighed and dropped him back onto the deck, careful to avoid dropping him on Caine, who was still sprawled on the ground. "Does anyone know who he is? He reeks of despair", he called to the group.

"You get used to it" Everyone turned their heads toward the voice, and a young woman came up onto the deck. She was dressed in brown, with shorts and boots, and a young man followed suit. "It took us a while, but we did", she stopped and looked at them, "How long has he been here?"
"About ten minutes"
"So I guess we all got here at the same time", the young man turned to his colleague.
"It would seem so", she replied.
Peter decided to speak up, "I'm Peter", he gestured to the gang, "This is Susan, Lucy, Ed, Caspian, Sam, and Caine". He looked at the stranger sprawled on the ground. "I'm guessing you already know him"
The young woman held out her hand,"Elizabeth Swann. Will Turner" Will stepped forward and shook Peter's hand, "That's Jack Sparrow."
"CAPTAIN!"
Will rolled his eyes, "CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow"
"Oh, is this his ship?", Lucy asked.
Will and Elizabeth laughed, "No, it's not. His ship is much less...grand", Will said, looking around.
"Oh", Lucy now felt awkward, fishing for something else to say, "Where are you from?"
"Port Royal"
"As in the UK?"
"Yes"
"What year?"
"1747"
"Wow"
Elizabeth suddenly felt paranoid, "Why do you take such interest?"
"It's 1940 back where we were"
"What do you mean? Time Travel?"
"I...I don't know. What's going on back in 1747?"
Sam then decided to share his knowledge, "Jack is a pirate. The great Captain Jack Sparrow"
Lucy looked over at Jack, who didn't look so great at the moment. "A what?"
"A pirate. Y'know, eye patch, peg leg?"
Lucy looked confused.
"Arrgg?"
"Are you sick?"
"No I'm not sick! I can't believe you've never heard of pirates!"
"Um..I don't think they exist where we're from...", Lucy turned to Peter, "Do pirates exist?"
"I've never heard of them. You guys?"
"Nope"
"Never"
Sam was utterly confused. They had never heard of pirates? And they were from the same place Jack was from! How? "Jack is from the same place you came from-"
"Jack is NOT from Narnia", Susan objected.
"I WASN'T TALKING ABOUT NARNIA!"
"Oh. Where then?"
"Port Royale. Britain. The UK. The place where people have funny accents. LIKE YOU!"
"What accent?"
"If anyone has an accent, Sam, it's you", Caspian laughed.
Sam was downright annoyed."WHATEVER. There. And you mean to tell me that you've never heard of pirates?"
The four Pevensies thought for a moment. "Yep", Ed replied for all of them.
"Now, this doesn't mean that they don't exist-", Susan started to clarify
"It just means that we've never heard of them", Peter finished.
There was an awkward pause.
"Where's Narnia?", Will asked. A simultaneous groan was let out on deck.
"We've gone through this", Sam sighed.
"Well, I wasn't here when you did"
"We'd rather not take the time", Peter started.
"Why not?"
"It's confusing", Ed tried to sum it up.
"They're insane", Sam said.
"We are not!", Lucy and Susan both shouted at Sam. He shrunk back to check on Caine, whom everyone seemed to have forgotten. "I have a vague recollection", Caine whispered to his brother, "of reading a book with these characters in it."
"What book?"
"The Chronicals of Narnia."
"That's a series, you dummy."
"Whatever. Do you remember it?"
"Yeah, I think they made a movie out of it. I thought they looked familiar." Sam thought for a moment, "Do you think that's why they've never heard of pirates?"
"What?"
"Maybe each book is a different world, where different things happen in history. That would make sense."
"You're talking gibberish, Sam", Caine rolled over to his other side. "That would mean that WE are in a book as well, and I know for a fact, we aren't."
